Ben Thornbrue has been named the NWAC Southern Region Player of the Year.

The freshman from Hillsboro, Oregon was also named Freshman of the Year for the region.

Thornbrue averaged 21.6 points per game on the season and 23.1 points in Southern Region play.

He also grabbed 7.3 rebounds per game.

Thornbrue's dominance inside and his versatility led the Titans to an 11-5 league record.

In a crucial win at Clackamas, Thorbrue scored 37 points on 16-22 shooting from the field.

With a playoff spot on the line in a late season game against Chemeketa, he finished with 33 points in just 29 minutes, securing another crucial win with his outstanding play.
