Lane Community College Athletic Director, Greg Sheley, is excited to announce the hiring of Lavonte Davis as their next Men's Basketball head coach. Davis takes over for CJ Edwards who left after taking an assistant coaching position at Idaho State University. Lavonte was a former assistant coach under Edwards.

"We are excited that Lavonte is returning to the Titan Athletics family," said Sheley. "He brings energy, excitement and program knowledge to our Men's Basketball program. We are confident Lavonte will do an outstanding job."

"I want to thank Athletic Director Greg Sheley for the opportunity to become the Head Men's Basketball Head Coach at Lane Community College. My leadership will reflect my passion and desire to help young men improve on the court and in the classroom," said Davis. 

Most recently, Lavonte was a graduate assistant at Penn State University and Iowa State University. Davis has also spent time coaching at the High School, Junior College and competitive club levels. 

Lavonte received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Sports Management from Indiana Tech University in 2018 and is working towards his Master's Degree at Penn State University.
