The Titans men's soccer team defeated the Klamath CC Badgers, 1-0, on Saturday, Oct. 25 on the Lane CC campus. Temperatures were in the mid-50s and players competed through wet and windy conditions.

Lane is coached by third-year coach Ty Ohrtman who led them to their sixth shutout of the season. Sophomore midfielder Jacobo Contreras Benitez was able to slip a shot past the KCC goalkeeper late in the second half to put the Titans ahead. Fellow sophomore Zac Walker recorded the assist -- his third of the season.

Their win moved the Titans into a tie with Rouge Community College for first place in the NWAC Southern Region.

Both squads have one game remaining as the Titans will face Southwestern Oregon CC on Wednesday, Oct. 29, in Coos Bay, OR. The Rouge Osprey play Klamath CC the same day.
