EUGENE, OR -- The NWAC announced this week that Jacobo Contreras Benitez was named the NWAC Southern Region Men's Soccer MVP for the 2025 season.
Contreras Benitez, a sophomore midfielder from Springfield High School, has been a steady presence in his two seasons with the Lane Titans, staring all 28 matches of his career.
In the 2025 season, Jacobo led the team in goals scored with 5, as well as adding 2 assists and contributing to the best season for the Titan program since it was reintroduced in 2016.
The Titans finished the season at 11-2-1, falling in the quarterfinals of the NWAC Playoffs to Highline, but it was overall a successful season for Lane and a well deserved honor for Contreras Benitez.
