The top-ranked Lane Titans remained unbeaten with a 96-81 victory over South Puget Sound, but it was not easy. After getting out to a 24-8 first quarter lead, the Titans were outscored by the Clippers over the course of the rest of the game 73-72, but the early lead was enough to keep SPSC out of range.

Emma McKenney paced the Titans offense with 23 points, making 9-of-11 free throws. Kendra McAninch added 18 points and eight rebounds while Sierra Scheppele also scored 18.

The duo of Sharay Trotter and Kayla Jackson gave the Titans defense issues. Trotter had 27 points with six steals, five assists and four rebounds while Jackson scored 22.

The Titans advance on and will face Spokane on Sunday at 1 p.m.
