Lane Titans Split Games Against Clark Penguins

EUGENE, OR -- The Lane Titans men's basketball team fell 74–63 to Clark on Monday, Jan. 19 in Eugene despite a strong effort on the defensive end.

Freshman Gavin Inglish led the Titans with 20 points, knocking down five three-pointers off the bench. Tru Young recorded a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds. Joey Banry added nine points and two assists. Lane battled on the boards but struggled to find offensive consistency, shooting 30.4%.

The Lane Titans women's basketball team earned a 73–52 home victory over Clark on Monday night in Eugene, OR. After a fast-paced, back-and-forth first quarter, Lane took control with a dominant defensive effort, limiting Clark to just one point in the second quarter.

Gretchen Orton posted a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds, while Maitlin Young and Lilly Schimel added 12 points apiece. Lane shot 38.7 percent from three-point range and won the rebounding battle 49–34. Orton was named NWAC Athlete of the Week last week.

Both teams will play on the road Wednesday against the Linn-Benton Roadrunners (men @ 5:30 p.m., women @ 7:30 p.m.). You can stream the game here.
