EUGENE, OR -- Lane Community College rolled to a dominant 99–45 win over Mt. Hood on Saturday in Eugene, using explosive offense and relentless pressure from the opening tip.
The Titans led 25–10 after the first quarter and extended the margin to 60–23 by halftime.
Lily Cavanaugh sparked Lane with a game-high 27 points, including eight three-pointers, while Gretchen Orton added 18 points. Lane shot 41.7 percent from the field, knocked down 15 threes, and forced 31 turnovers, converting them into 47 points. The Titans also controlled the glass and the paint, cruising to the convincing victory.
The Titans will travel to Umpqua on Wednesday and return home Saturday to face the Clackamas Cougars.
