EUGENE, OR -- The Lane Community College women's basketball team fell to Clackamas 79–67 on Saturday, Jan. 31 in Eugene despite balanced scoring and strong perimeter shooting.
The Titans held a 16–15 edge after the first quarter and stayed within striking distance at halftime, but were outscored 24–17 in the third quarter.
Sophomore Maitlin Young led Lane with 22 points on 9-of-14 shooting, including 4 three-pointers, while fellow freshman Gretchen Orton added 20 points and 8 rebounds. Lane shot 45.5% from three-point range but struggled at the free-throw line, converting just 11-of-19 attempts.
The Cougars improved to 22-0 on the season.
