EUGENE, OR -- The Lane Titans volleyball team improved their chances of qualifying for the postseason when they defeated the visiting Southwest Oregon Lakers on Nov. 1. The teams played five sets, including a 29-27 second set that saw the Titans win.
The victory extended Lane's winning streak to six games and put them in a tie with SWOCC for fourth place in the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) Southern Region. First place team receives a bye in the first round of the NWAC Championship Tournament. Second, third and fourth place teams compete in a Super Regional playoff. Seeding is determined by league winning percentage.
The Titans will play their two remaining home games this week on Wednesday, Nov. 5 and Friday, Nov. 7. Both games are scheduled to start at 6 p.m.
