EUGENE, OR -- The Lane Titans men's basketball team is hosting their regular season home opener against the Pacific University JV team on Tuesday, Nov. 18. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.on the campus of Lane Community College.
The Titans are led by first-year head coach Lavonte Davis and are returning to their home court after a two-game trip to Pasco, WA for the Columbia Basin Kick-Off tournament. The boys' season got underway on Nov. 14 with a two overtime game against the Walla Walla Community College Warriors. Three Titans scored at least 20 points ( Joey Banry, 25; Tru Young, 23; Gavin Inglish, 22) in a losing effort. The Warriors won 108-99.
The next day, the Columbia Basin Hawks outlasted the Titans, 65-63. Steven Adams led the Titans in scoring with 11 points and the duo of Young and Brody Roth added 10. Lenny Liyong grabbed 12 rebounds.
