EUGENE, OR -- More than two weeks removed from their last win (99-67 victory over Skagit Valley on Nov. 28), the Titans were in need of a win to stay competitive in the Southern Region standings. In addition, the Titans were facing the possibility of losing five consecutive games. On Saturday night against the one-win Pirates from Peninsula College (1-10 overall), Lane took care of business from the jump and defeated Peninsula, 81-64, behind 19 points from Tru Young and 11 from starting point guard Joey Banry.
As a team the Titans dished out 25 assists, led by Banry who had seven. Freshman Steven Adams had five.
Lane will play heir third game in three days against the South Puget Sound Clippers - who lost to Blue Mountain on Saturday, 90-82 - on Sunday at 1 p.m.
