EUGENE, OR -- And that's a wrap on the 2025 NWAC Crossover. The weekend finished up on Sunday afternoon with the Lane Titans men's basketball team losing to the South Puget Sound Clippers. 73-59.
The Titans kept the score within striking distance in the first half and even took a four point lead with 6:30 remaining in the second half on a jumpshot from Tru Young, who finished with 20 points on 8-of-14 shooting, 8 rebounds and 4 assists - all of which were team-highs.
The Clippers would rally and finish the game on a 23-5 scoring run.
Outside of Lucas Withol (6 points and 5 rebounds in 12 minutes) the Titans bench went 0-9 from the field with three turnovers and six fouls. Freshman Steven Adams - who made his second career start - recorded 11 points, 4 rebounds and a steal. Joey Banry added 8 points, 3 assists and a steal.
The Titans and head coach Lavonte Davis will head back to the drawing board as they will enter 2026 with a 4-7 record and a Jan. 3 matchup with the Portland Panthers.
