EUGENE, OR -- The Lane Titans men's basketball team powered past the Linn-Benton Roadrunners, 95-80, on February 18 at Lane Community College.
The Titans ability to convert open looks paved the way to victory as they shot 54.8% from the field. Freshman Steven Adams played 34 minutes and went 3-for-3 from 3-point line. He finished with 20 points, 7 assists and 0 turnovers.
Fellow freshman Amaziah Austin added 17 points and 9 rebounds off the bench. Joey Banry contributed 16 points, and the Titans dominated inside with a 46-24 edge in paint scoring.
Lane also controlled the glass, outrebounding Linn-Benton 39-29.
The Titans can clinch a playoff berth with a win next week against Umpqua (23-4 overall, 11-3 Southern Region). The game will tipoff at 5:30 p.m. at Lane Community College.
