EUGENE, OR -- On Saturday, March 14, the Lane Titans track and field team hosted their one and only home meet of the season. Athletes from Division 1 schools (Oregon St. and Portland St.), NWAC schools and running clubs competed in the events. To view those results, click here!

 

Highlights from Head Coach Chris Yorges:

  • Sophmore Izzy Abrahams won the meet with a 3.77m (12' 4.5") vault. Putting her tied for 7th on LCC's top ten list (this mark leads the NWAC as of Saturday). Currently the second best jump in the nation for junior colleges.
  • Redshirt Freshman Paizlei Tucker placed second with a 3.71m (12' 2.5") a double Personal Record (PR) day that would place her tied for 10th on the LCC Top 10 list. Currently the third best jump in the nation for junior colleges.
  • Freshman Amanda Bennett placed third with a 3.71m (12' 2.5") PR performance that puts her 10th on the LCC top ten list and places her second in the NWAC. This mark is also currently the third best jump in the nation for junior colleges.
  • Sophmore Lucas Hoff won the meet with a 4.81m (15' 9.25") pole vault. This vault puts Lucas with the best vault in the NWAC conference. Currently the best jump in the nation for junior colleges.
  • Redshirt Freshman Karter Sheridan placed second with a 4.71m (15' 5.5") a double PR day. Currently the second best jump in the nation for junior colleges.
  • Freshman Kyle Hughes placed sixth with a 4.61m (15' 1.5") PR a new PR that puts his tied for the second best mark in the NWAC conference. Currently tied for the third best jump in the nation for junior colleges.
  • Nelson Wilstead with a personal best and NWAC leading throw of 214' 5" in winning the javelin.
  • Elijah Rice ran a personal best of 22.05 seconds winning the 200 meters which is the leading time in the NWAC as well as running a leg on the winning 4 x 400 meter relay team.
  • Distance phenom Andrew Rush won the men's 800 in 1:57 and the 1500 in 4:07.30
