EUGENE, OR – On Monday and Tuesday, Lane Titans track and field stars Lucas Hoff and Amanda Bennett took home individual championships in the men's decathlon and women's heptathlon, respectively. The duo traveled to Whitworth Universtiy in Spokane, WA to compete at the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) Outdoor Multis Championships.
Hoff, in his return to the multis championships, dominated in the men's events taking first place in 8 of the 10 decathlon events and scoring 6,654 total points. With his decathlon victory, Hoff successfully defended his 2025 title. He posted personal bests in the 110 hurdles (16.31 seconds) and long jump (6.58 meters).
Bennett's victory was a bit closer as she won the women's heptathlon with 3,960 total points – second place went to Umpqua's Becky Tshianyi with 3,843 points. Bennett blew away the competition and was first in the javelin with a best throw of 41.28 meters. She posted personal bests in the 100 hurdles, shot put, 200 meter dash, and 800 meters.
