The Lane Titan 2025 Volleyball season is officially underway.
After a 3-0 victory in their home opener over Green River, the Titans will travel east to compete in the Walla Walla Invitational.
The Titans, led by Head Coach Keri Green in her second season, are looking to keep their momentum going as they take on Treasure Valley on Friday.
They will follow their match against the Chukars with with a double-header on Saturday against the Big Bend Vikings and the Yakima Valley Yaks.
Green's young squad combines experienced sophomores with talented newcomers who are looking to contribute right away.
Mirra Riddle returns as the team's libero, coming off a strong freshman campaign in which she recorded 354 digs.
The sophomore from North Bend, Oregon, continues to be a defensive force, recording 19 digs in just 3 sets in Saturday's win.
Kadence Soto also brings some familiarity to the court, following her impressive freshman season as setter.
She recorded 415 assists her freshman year and followed up with 17 assists in her first match as a sophomore.
The sophomores are not the only ones looking to make a statement early in the season.
A talented freshman class is also proving to be contributors.
Freshman Yazmeen Brown impressed in the team's home opener.
An explosive athlete from Fairfield, California, Brown finished with a team high 10 kills against Green River.
Lada Smetanina, a 6'1" hitter from Hailey, Idaho, brings an intimdating presence to the Titans front line.
Marlee McLean, a dynamic setter from Bellevue, Idaho, provides grit for the young freshman group.
McLean finished Saturday's match with 13 assists.
Bailey Hoover and Gracelyn Myhre also pitched in heavily, both finishing with 6 kills each.
The Titan's mix of experience and young talent will be put to the test this weekend, as they look to compete for a top spot in the NWAC Southern Region.
The Titans will take on Treasure Valley on the road this Friday at noon.
