The Lane Titans Women's Soccer team continued to roll Saturday afternoon against the SWOCC Lakers.

The Titans, coming off of a win on the road against Clackamas, were looking to establish themselves as a contender in the NWAC Southern Region.

After an early shot on goal was saved by the Laker's keeper, Mia Brown started the scoring off in the 14th minute with a goal assisted by Claire Holcomb.

Jordyn Pai followed up with a goal in the 20th minute as the Titans took a 2-0 lead.

Soon after, Camryn Johansen extended the lead to 3-0 in the 27th minute.

In the 43rd, the Titans leading goal scorer, Alexa Kovatch, found the back of the net for the first time of the match as the Titans went into halftime with a 4-0 lead.

The second half was all Titans as well, as Kovatch scored two straight goals in the 62nd minute and 72nd minute, respectively.

Finally, sophomore Kim Gomez punctuated the victory with a goal in the 76th minute, assisted by Kovatch.

The Titans currently sit in 2nd place in the Southern Region, trailing only the Chemeketa Storm.

With a record of 5-1-1 in league play, the Titans are in a position to potentially win the region and secure a playoff spot.

The Titans will travel to Umpqua and Rogue this week before a big matchup with Chemeketa on September 18th.
